Are You Contemplating a Career Change? Consider these 4 Questions

Are you contemplating a career change this year? If so, are you clear on the change you want to make? Most of my clients want some support in figuring out their next steps. Here are some questions for reflection:

  • How will you feel a year from now if you haven’t made a change?
  • How do you typically make decisions? Can you apply that process here? Why or why not?
  • Is your work (& employer) in alignment with your visions, values, strengths, and interests? If not, are you open to explore where/what might be a better fit?
  • What fears are keeping you stuck and in pain? Are you willing to manage those fears instead of letting them manage you?

Book a complimentary consult call here and let’s discuss how I can support you in living and working with less fear and more joy and fulfillment.

Could You Use Some Support this Month?

Out of curiosity to learn more about a current popular coach, I attended a “training” last week that promised job search tips, insider secrets and lots of other too good to be true promises. You know the kind. All fluff and no substance that are really just a marketing ploy to get you to buy some way overpriced something. Several hundred others were also in attendance. All eager for help. Many expressed frustration in the chat with being dupped into having their time wasted.

After being hollered at and learning nothing in that experience, I vowed to offer something that actually helps the people in my network. We could all use some extra support right now, right?!

I will listen and offer support and advice through complementary virtual 30 minute mini-sessions for the month of September. Whether you want to talk about your career or life in general, I am here for you! Spaces are limited since I am also currently IT support and lunch lady for my 13 year old daughter. Sign up here. And I swear there will be no empty promises or gimmicks involved! Just joyful support of whatever you want to discuss!

What’s Your Work? Can You Name It?

“And while we’re here, let’s get to our work!” Wes Moore closes his powerful Super Soul Sunday talk with these words having explained the importance in knowing the difference between our job and our work. Do these words excite you? Terrify you? Do they make you “nervicited” as my daughter likes to say? (nervous and excited mashup)

Regardless of how you feel about it, can you honestly say you are doing your work? Can you even name it? It took me over 20 years to figure out my work. My work is helping others to name their work and find a way to do their work at their job (when possible). I help people just like you to grow their choice muscles so they can feel empowered to choose joy, choose to do their work no matter how much it scares them, and choose to be fully themselves in this world that doesn’t always respect that choice.

Please don’t put off your work any more. As Wes reminds us, no more days are promised. Let’s start doing our work today! As always, reach out if I can support you. The world needs more people doing their work.
